miscellaneous landscapes and pueblo views. Also includes miscellaneous ephemera and manuscripts: a typescript obituary; another
obituary printed in a newspaper; handbills for Compton Studio; a business card; a memoir, "A trip from Illinois to Albuquerque
by automobile" by Margaret; and automobile ownership papers.

Alonzo Edmund Compton: born 1867 in Belmont, Kentucky; studied engineering at University of Valparaiso in Indiana; worked
as a surveyor for the U.S. Government Land Office in New Mexico; operated Compton Studio, a photography studio in Albuquerque;
died 1938 in Effingham, Illinois.
